It is an all India Scheme administered by Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India. Micro & Small Enterprises who have Entrepreneurs’ Memorandum Part-II acknowledgment number from State Directorate of Industries/DICs and also have registration with GS1 India for use of Bar Code are eligible for reimbursement. The reimbursement is restricted to 75% of the fees paid by MSEs towards one time registration charges paid to GS1 India, who have got registration from GS1 India for use of Bar Codes on or after 1st January, 2002. In addition 75% reimbursement of annual recurring fee for the 1st three years paid by MSEs to GS1 India is to be made to only those MSEs who have paid annual renewal fees for the period from 1st Jan 2007 and thereafter. The scheme is valid upto 2012.

MSME-DI, Hubli is dealing with reimbursement of MSEs of North Karnataka Districts. MSEs of north Karnataka Districts may apply for Bar Code reimbursement to the Director, MSME-DI, Hubli in the prescribed format along with all annexures downloaded from  http://www.dcmsme.gov.in/schemes/Guidelines&ApplicationFormBarCode.pdf  enclosing all Invoices & Receipts of payment duly attested by CA/DIC
